About Yissachar Dror
From a young age, Yissachar Dror has always had a deep love and appreciation for singing music in all its forms.
Through the years, Yissachar was privileged to develop a close connection with Yaakov Shwekey and other Jewish singers who helped guide Yissachar's singing career.
It started in his home where Yissachar and his family spent many hours singing the traditional songs around the Shabbat table with great love and devotion. at the age of 13, yissachar recorded his first song with eli klien, the renowned israeli composer.
Then, as Yissachar grew older, he carried his love of singing and music into yeshiva. In his free time, yissachar got to learn the ins and outs of jewish music by working together with top jewish artists for j-root radio on the leil shishi program. Yissachar spent many hours watching the best of jewish talent perform for the radio, and was inspired to produce music on his own.
Yissachar then went on to become a Chazan of the Yad Yosef Torah Center Minyan with Rabbi David Ashear as well as a chazan for azrad synagogue in brooklyn new york, where he remains a driving musical force that brings the congregation together each week in prayers and singing .
Yissachar has the versatility to sing in many styles and has absorbed eastern and western musical influences, which results in a unique voice and style that is sure to please the ear.
Yissachar is also multilingual and can speak English, Hebrew and French fluently.
